Just make it so it doesn't count as a game over and is a scripted loss per usual or have a left over fairy that revives him in the prison.

But, he'd just keep dying/reviving until he ran out of fairies, he needs the dark sign in order to be sent to the imprisoned bonfire in dukes. Link loses, Seath wins.

Nahhhh...that bonfire acts funky, when did you ever respawn at a bonfire you hadn't seen before. Seath took you there somehow.
