I am looking for a good weapon that does decent or wide horizontal slashes. I like being able to swing and hit people in a broad arch unlike the washing pole or spears which are a vertical slash or stab.

I'm looking more for something with a bit of speed,like the drake sword but BETTER in everyway...

For more speed the BSS may be just what you need. Arguably the best move set in the game.

Falchion is good s***, the running attack is basically very hard to avoid unless they know for a fact you are throwing it out since due to latency the damage over at their end actually registers before the animation even plays (at least for me it happened so many times I just assume its how it works xD)
Also 2hr1 is both un-setup parriable, and unrollbsable. If you can get by the fact that its got some abyssimal range and has no kick (so no kick to gc or kick to r1 combos), its an alright weapon. --- GT - Dex Pyromaniac http://www.youtube.com/user/Dexpyro <===== Dark Souls stuff
