You could even throw in a VoS there.

Great idea, use a spell which makes your 50 invested levels in faith and attunement worthless for a whole minute lol

VoS against a pure mage is not a bad idea. It's not like you need WotG against him.

Going 50 Faith or 50 INT and then only having three slots is a waste IMO. You can never have too many WotG and GMB is quite useful. You could even throw in a VoS there.

It's not a waste at all. You need the 50 faith for your weapons and spells, and I'd rather have more END than waste points for some useless spells. And don't tell me you ever used more than 9 WoGs in a single duel.

The only reason to dump 50 points into Faith is so that you can spam WotG. If you want reliable damage output then you need weapons without split damage.

Of course. The only reason I'd ever use a faith build is to use powerful WoGs. I don't know where you got the idea of spamming it, though, as that only gets you rollbs'd. Also, in case you didn't know, WoG combos into clay R1 and R2, which I would call a very reliable damage output.

If you're fighting against three gankers then six charges of WotG might not be enough. Either way, you're missing the point. You want 50 Faith because you want powerful miracles, and to then not have enough slots to attune everything you want just feels stupid.

Great Magic Barrier
Darkmoon Blade/Sunlight Blade
WotG
WotG
WotG

I don't feel like any of those slots are wasted. If you can get by with only three slots then so be it, but I would personally never go 50 Faith without at least five slots.

So yeah, you really dont want to use anything besides 6-9 wrath of gods on a pure faith when looking for efficiency, and as sad as it sounds, thats the truth. :/

There's also the PvE aspect. Darkmoon Blade at 50 Faith on a Falchion+15 is pretty decent (does about 100 more damage than the Moonlight Greatsword and swings much faster). Great Magic Barrier is useful against gankers when you're getting attacked by every magical attack in the game.

Basically what Dex said, grass is a way better choice than GMB, since you can just roll through all the magic that is thrown at you. Also, your opponent is just gonna wait untill it's run out, which won't be the case if you use grass.

As for the weapon buffs, it's basically the same, and then all you have left is a crappy weapon that doesn't scale with your stats. (Why would you use such a weapon anyway, even buffed the damage difference compared to its divine/occult counterpart is negligible.)
