This game is quite similar to CoD and while there aren't guns there are gun substitutes and gun substitute accessories.
Outside of that, the game most similar to it is Starcraft. If you're good at SC you'll also be good at this, they share a lot of elements (I'd go as far as saying Demons' Souls stole a lot from Starcraft).
