Unless you're too far away to bs somebody who's healing or casting, I don't see the point. Anyone with half a brain will just roll or step to the side until the shooter gets bored.

Bait and poison arrows mainly. Even a lag hit that does no damage will still build up poison.

Some people will try and take advantage with a rolling attack which is fairly easy to predict.

Easy cheese if your opponent has only a sliver of health or waiting out buffs

If you build your shop in front of an arrow trap, sometimes you are going to get shot by an arrow.

I love using it when they run into a group of enemies and try to heal. It's a nice finisher.

Mainly to bait people into parries or backstabs. Very effective.

I don't understand it either.

Poison isn't a serious status ailment to inflict on a host.

When I'm doing forest pvp I just left them poison me then do a 'Shrug' gesture.

The Ents drop moss so it's easy to heal up from poison too.

Bow users only leave themselves open to being hit.

To this day I still picture that player dressed in full onion gear running down the stairs shouting "HELP ME SEIGMEYER!" - VettiSforza

It's gotten me a few wins today. Knock him down to low health, he will panic a little. Might cause him to do something drastic. When paired with toxic he will be losing 8 to 10 tics a second. I'm not saying it works all the time, but when it does it nice. I just look at it as a way to keep the opponent on his toes.

I've killed an invader more often than not after they dropped to just a sliver of life then tried to run away from me only to suddenly fall from that silly 3 tick poison.

I LOVE the death annimation with it. Sent a message to my invaders after: "How'd running away work for ya?".
