Dark Souls

I'm getting this warning for my crystal knight shield but the repair box at the bonfire says it doesn't have to be repaired.

you only can repair it by upgrading the shield

As someone else mentioned, anything made of cystals, even armour, can't be repaired. That's the balance of the crystal items since they are usually very powerful. I found out about this in the Tomb of Giants when my crystal halberd broke...
