How do you start an Int build, making sure it's strong as you build up to 125?

It might seem like a silly question, but I've been thinking about this as I've never really dabbled in a sorcery build before. It's pretty much been strength (my first playthrough and favourite, mang i loved not thinking about builds, using mid roll and cool armour and black knight stuff), dex, dex/pyro or dex/faith/pyro.

Faith builds are easy to start...Astora's straight sword is right there for you to make a joke out of everything until Drake Sword, until Andre and a divine weapon. Which I use to turn a claymore in to a +3 Chaos.

Where do you start with Int? Before working up to level 125, I aim for a level 50 build so I can deal with invaders. (Hence Chaos claymore +3 and decent vitality)

my level 125 int build is more or less going to be like this
https://mugenmonkey.com/darksouls/?c=195109125396675235

I won't necessarily by using the MLGS, and the spells aren't necessarily what I'll use, for instance I'll have regular weapons like a Balder Swag Sword or Uchigatana with Crystal magic weapon. MLGS is just there since the max weight of any weapon i would use is 6.

As I finish writing this I feel stupid for not remembering the Zweihander.
But I'll post it anyway because >_>

There is NOTHING as easy as an INT build. Trust me.

Base Vit, base End. It's the only build that actually goes extremely fast and smooth by just EXPLODING points in the main stat. Just choose a weapon (mine, for example, is the Shotel), make it ENCHANTED (and you can do it reaally fast, even before fighting the gargoyles, lol) and you're winner.

Not sure how I feel about 'exploding' points in to Int with no regard to vitality. I mean you could survive PvE with that but you're never going to survive invasions.

What I do, raise str and dex to 16/12 dex is to be able to use a bow, pump vit and end to 15-20 ish, then start pumping int to 20-30 ish.

Next I raise end to wher I want it to uhm... end I guess.
Vit to 30, int to the max and finally vit to the max. Att I pump at the times I need it, like when meeting Logan, or getting dark bead etc.

Of course not, you're right. I was talking about "building up", meaning you can hit 50 INT immediately, MELT PvE, and then boost Vit with always base End.

but some weapons have 3 points of diference between magic+10 & enchanted+5, is that a big concern? also, if I want 50 int & make an enchanted+5, should I raise 40dex or 40str depending on weapon to do more dmg?

No, if you want to raise dex or str then Magic will be FAR stronger.
Enchanted btw IS better with only 50 Int (and minimal stats for weapon pf choice), and can reach outstanding results since all other points can be put in Vit and Att.

That's not true.

16 str, 45 dex, 44 int, Balder Side Sword
magic - 446 (187, 259)
enchanted - 448 (170, 278)

Not only is it's AR 2 point higher, it has a higher magic split making it more effective on most people.

Sl 50 a solid 2-4 pokes will kill invaders and even without bellow or tcc you will still 1 shot with logans, add dark magic for op status.
