GI would say tutorial boss asylum demon didnt know there was a door so i fought it over and over again and beat it on my first time seeing it and when i got that hammer im like omg. I felt stupid that i could have skipped it at that point.

just parry them, regardless of SL and whether it's NG or NG+ & beyond, it really is not hard to do. Hardest would be painting world's bonewheel skeletons in NG+ at low level..
