Sounds are fairly random in mine-craft, The only sounds that MEAN anything, are mob sounds. Hear a lot of monsters in on place and your near a dungeon.

Zombies... I think I love anything that starts with the letter Z.

What does the F3+S thing do? First time I had audio problems I fixed it by importing resources to the .minecraft folder, the second time I had to disable my internet connection before startup, each fix did work though.

The way my sound was fixed was by downloading the RPG texture pack which I guess includes it's own set of sounds.
