Looking for best laptop for minecraft

#1darkness_19_91Posted 2/13/2011 11:32:42 PM
I'm searching hard for a laptop that can play minecraft at best settings at least 60+ fps. However I found only couple good ones. I was wondering if it is good enough.

HP Pavilion dv6-3210us 15.6-Inch

AMD Phenom II Dual-Core Mobile Processor 3GHz
4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 DIMM) Max supported = 8GB
500GB (5400RPM) Hard Drive (SATA) with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection (7)
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics with 128MB Display Cache Memory with 128MB DDR3 (sideport memory) with up to 2045MB total graphics memory

or

HP Pavilion dv6-3052nr 15.6-Inch

Intel Core i7-720QM processor 1.60 GHz with Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.80 GHz
GB DDR3 System Memory (2 DIMM) - Max supported = 8 GB
500 GB (7200 RPM) Hard Drive;
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 Graphics with up to 4091 MB total graphics memory with 1 GB dedicated

Which one is better? Do you know any better laptop than I mention it above? I really want best minecraft experience as possible.

What's your budget as there's much better laptops than those.

Go with the second one, the processor is way better, and minecraft mostly relies on the processor.

How this one better? It has same core processor and less RAM than HP Pavilion dv6-3052nr.
Edit: I didn't see your second post.

Go with the second one, in terms of processors, i7>i5>i3>Dual-core.
As for the RAM, save up a little more extra cash after buying the laptop and upgrade it as RAM is easily upgraded whereas processor are much more complicated.

What about this laptop?

I've read that a dedicated graphics card works best. I talked to someone there but he didn't explain the difference very well. He said that the card is integrated to the board but the memory is dedicated to the card. Does that make any sense? I'm lost. Will this work well at normal distance with fast graphics?
