Imagine Minecraft with Kinect. It could work. I wouldn't play it, but it could work.

How would it not work with a controller? The answer is it will, just like every other first person PC port. The whole control scheme thing is just an excuse PC purists try to come up with, but the fact of the matter is, it holds no water. Minecraft has a VERY simple control scheme.

Example:

XBOX360

Movement - 2 analog sticks obviously
Sneak - LT or L3
Item select - D-pad or LB, RB
Drop - B
Jump - A
Use selected item - X or RT
Open Inventory - Y
Pause - Start

Still got extra buttons and as long as you make it customizable, you got nothing to complain about.

Not everyone has a PC, or one that can handle Minecraft. I only recently got one and have only been watching Minecraft LP's and other videos up to that point. Is it so wrong that people want to be able to play such an amazing game without spending a ton on a new PC?

And as for controls, on an xbox, the 2 joysticks work fine for movement, the triggers can be your left and right mouse clicks. the Dpad for item selection. B for sneak, A for jump, Y to open inventory. That still leaves X, LB, and RB. In the crafting menu, you can use the joystick to scroll through items, and still use the triggers for left and right mouse clicks....it's not rocket science, and sure it's a little clunky, but that is a small price to pay for getting to play this game on a console.

Someone actually has modded it to work with Kinect.
Or even build with it:

And you can just use a console controller for you PC and hook it up to your tv. The PC version would also be way better because of the vast modding/customization capabilities.

Seems like, again, absolutely everybody ignores whats actually important. Nobody should want someone like Notch to be hired by Microsoft. They'd give him ton of money and put his work on the 360? Great! And then, you're lucky if you ever hear of him again in your entire life! What is it with people and not caring when those developers are assimilated inside the big bad ****ty companies?
