Can't move and look around at the same time

#1hammertime2015Posted 5/15/2011 12:02:32 AM
I just got a new laptop that uses a touch pad and I can't walk and look around at the same time.

Any tips?

Well that's strange, it fixed itself. I've no idea what caused it. Anyway, MineCraft is now running really slow.

This is a BRAND new computer, wtf? Here's my specs:

Processor: Intel Core i5-2410M CPU 2.30 GHz
RAM: 6 GB
System Type: 64 Bit

I'm no computer expert so I have no idea what specs are actually important.

Do you have a legit mobile video card as well as an integrated chip? If so, Minecraft is probably using the integrated chip since it runs under Java.

Yeah, you're probably running the onboard chip from the CPU which isn't that good. It could cause some lag. Try changing it, should be an option on desktop right click, assuming you have one.

If it's a laptop, you're probably running with an Intel graphics chip. >_>

Start -> Run -> dxdiag -> Display

If you are, then you're basically screwed out of playing this game. My Dad has a laptop, really good (About as good as my desktop, minus the graphics chip) and it can barely run Minecraft on Tiny graphics distance.

Yeah...being new doesn't mean anything for any PC game.

It is most likely due to all the fancy functions laptop track pads have now. Be careful you don't accidentally activate any of them while playing Minecraft. Happens on my HP sometimes.

I just checked and it is. Is it just an Intel thing? Is there anything I can do? Is there anyway the final product of MineCraft could make it run better?

I have a 5 year old dell laptop that can play on Far distance and good graphics with minimum lag.
