Try Infinity this world is really good if you like a little desert area. If you go a bit North-West you will find a small clay depot (if you dont find it blame yourself) and if you go north north-east you should find a small dirt area with 4 trees. PERFECT PLACE to make base camp and you will find easy diamonds gold iron lapis redstone and everything if you just dig down inside the stone/gravel area in a staircase area

Actually no, Notch made it so that every seed is the same spawn point for you. Like if you try the seed **** you will spawn on a sand island and if you turn around and walk around you will find a sand pit falling and if you dig it out you will find a chest with Gunpowder, Redstone, 2 bread, and a bucket if i recall correct. But anyways you will always spawn in the same spawn point (or small area)
