I keep losing my keyboard controls, like jump

I'll be swimming or holding shift to sneak by a ledge and all the sudden most of the controls are gone. Can't jump, but I can move. Can't type in a chat.

I've drown from this. I've looked up keyboard problems, and found something about Ease of Access/Accessibility settings in your control panel but I have all those sticky keys, toggle, ect things turned OFF already and this still happens.

Anyone encounter this before? Know a fix?

It may have nothing to do with your keyboard, unless it is maybe wireless. I do not play online, but what you describe sounds like a server synch issue.

Happens to me at times too. very annoying. Its not your keyboard, its a bug in MC. It did it at my friends house too except a lot more frequently. Not sure what causes it.

But after I exit Minecraft everything else acts like him holding down control. Icons selecting, new tabs opening, ect. It's not just Minecraft.

With this new information then I have one other possibility and a thought.

It could be a virus or malware on your system messing with it. Try running a current definition free AV program and see if it finds anything. Also try malwarebytes at malwarebytes.org

If you are on a laptop it could be your touch pad. I know that if I'm not careful my touch pad sometimes loves to activate with the slightest touch from my wrist. I'm not very good with touch pads.

If it is a desktop then I suggest you clean your keyboard, namely pop your keys off and clean out any food and dust/hair that is below the keys. Be sure that you have a reference for where to place each key if you are not familiar with the keyboard layout. Most keyboards are easy to clean this way. As a last ditch effort you could buy a keyboard from a store with a good return policy and try it for a few days/weeks and see if that fixes your problem.
