i have this for the xbox but dont feel like waiting forever for the content updates. im not sure if my laptop could run this game very well. what are the system requirements for the newest version if i have no mods or skins or texture packs, i am not too worried about graphics quality. but i just want to run it without lag

Minimum? 2 - 3 gigs of ram, a decent video card...

But there is a mod that is specifically made to enhance your FPS called Optifine. It allows you to adjust about ten times the amount of stuff you can adjust on vanilla Minecraft, which can drastically improve your frame rate.

Id say 3ghz single-core, or ~1.5ghz dualcore, 2gb ram(having more helps), nvidias gfx card.

worked fine on celereon D 3,33ghz(single core), 1,5gb ram, nvidia gefocre 6600, and core 2 duo e6300 @ 1,86ghz, 2-4gb ram, ati radeon x800gt / palit geforce gt 440, optifine or spoutcraft helps for fps, and random lag.

At my current one, I can get satble 60fps(vsync) with optfine and no lag unlesh I fly around in creative while it loads/creates new chuncks

-Sense, this makes none-
-Intel Celereon g530 @ 2.4ghz, 2gb ram, palit geforce gt 440 1gb ddr3-

Why would you suggest the inferior graphics card brand (nvidia)?

Yes there is. Download a program that translates controllers into key/mouse inputs. If you got an xbox pc controller, then you can use that to play the pc Minecraft the same way you've been playing the x360 Minecraft.

This is what I use:

Not counting remakes, of course.

Completely ignoring your elitist attitude, wouldn't suggesting something inferior automatically mean that anything superior would work as well?
