in the name of jeegus, I can't wait to see that finished. Oh, and if you don't mind, when it's done, do you mind sharing the save so that I can explore it myself? I'd like to walk in it's glory...

Funny, I'm kinda starting a similar project, although mine isn't near as big. Mine is basically a big circle floating out in the ocean. Here is a pic of what I have so far.

I think I downloaded one of your old worlds with your big castle and the giant tree and the floating islands with the glass domes. Really cool stuff. Can't wait to see what you come up with for this.

Anyway, if you're looking for recommendations, I think a big open plaza area would be nice. Throw in some of the bigger buildings like your main castle, cathedral, library, maybe a few shops, etc.. then fill in he rest with just smaller houses to make it look like a village. That's what I plan on doing if I ever finish mine.

very awesome project you have going. when you start adding buildings within the walls, you should build a school complete with playground, then a cake factory and also a prison!
but mostly the cake factory

You should build a coliseum! Then you could take two random mobs and have them fight it out. It could be connected underground to the prison, of course. And the winner would get to go to the cake factory.

Haha thanks for all the responses. I just got back from being out of town for the last few days, so construction should begin again very soon. I'll keep you guys updated.

Also, for the guy who wanted to download it, I'm actually considering making it an adventure/exploration map with tons of hidden locations and easter eggs to find. The point would probably be to find a way out of the city, but in a far more open-world fashion than most adventure maps.

This is awesome, I'm glad you're sharing your creation with us. It's inspirational, to say the least. I have a few creations of my own that I will put up once they are closer to being done.
