SSP Reccomended mods

#1Dissius1Posted 10/5/2012 3:41:53 AM
Looking to enhance my minecrafting experience. Kinda finding my efforts giving diminishing returns.

Hoping I can find a mod that I won't have to use a server alongside it (ie tekkit) but would give just as much ability for a better experience.

I prefer not to use rei's minimap since it feels like I'm cheating. But I am open to suggestions.

Tekkit does have an SSP equivalent called Technic, and its included in the same launcher. Actually, I've never played on a Tekkit server despite using the launcher for the past few months.

And while the.modpack does have Rei's, it can be disabled in-game.

I'll just have to take the dive then. It just seemed...complicated.

I recommend Mystcraft. It plays like Vanilla MC, until you make a magic book that sends you to another dimension.

When you first played minecraft, was it not complicated? Technic is highly proffered by people who want more and prefer building as opposed to anything else about minecraft.

Go with the Feed the Beast mod pack. It's almost exactly the same as Technic/Tekkit, but it has permission from all the mod authors.
