Is around 35-50 fps for a laptop considered alright?

Have no problems playing myself really, just feels slightly laggy at times, but from what I've heard laptops tend to be worse at playing this or something?

Yes, some people play MC with 10 fps, so you should be happy.

I play MC around 20-35 fps WITH optifine. Without it, 5-15 fps. That's just me.

When I look back, I'm suprised at how stupid I was. When I look to the future, I wonder how stupid I will be.

I... Actually don't get why that's even a question...

You are aware that a regular TV show or movie is run at 24fps right?

35-50 should be very smooth and any lag your getting is probably just inherent latency issues.

I blame the people who go "OMG ITZ NAWT 500FPS IT SO LAGY"

OT: Yeah, anything over 20 is just fine.

Movies and shows use motion blur on individual frames, so 24 FPS in a game won't look as smooth as a movie.

My PC is about a year old, and I get 70-80 FPS.
