Excellent info. Sticky requested.

Does the dried finger reduce or increase time between invasions? I thought it reduced it.

It greatly decreases the time between invasions, meaning you will get bombarded with invasions. I edited it out of there to remove it, as I had the info backwards.

And thanks for the sticky request.

Q. How do I summon someone to help me?
A. There are specific requirements in order to summon someone, and they are:
1. You must be in Human Form
2. The area boss you are wanting to summon someone in must not be killed
3. You must be in an area where others’ have laid their summon signs. Typically it is at the bonfire nearest the boss area, or just in front of the boss area.
4. There is a level restriction of +/- 10 Soul Levels, +/- 10%. An example is you are SL46, you can summon someone up to SL50 or as low as SL33

An error in my math was pointed out to me.

In my example at SL46, you can summon someone as high as SL60 or as low as 32

Forum user LONPREY provided a nice applet for people who use the Google Chrome web browser.

You can find it here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gjcnifjilnkocoabnfpenahaeilfoclm

It is a nice collection of information, links to wiki's, calculators, and some info on upgrade materials as well.

How to co-op easier with a friend.

Most answer with "just do a join in progress", but this doesn't always pop up as an option. Here is how it works.

Once a player enters into a multiplayer period, either summoning/being summoned/being invaded, you then have the option of going into their xbox profile and clicking the "join session in progress".

Once this has been done, you should now be able to summon into each others' worlds easier

From the first post, about starting gifts ( I know, super important) you *can* get the Pendant in game from a murdered NPC's corpse/item drop.

I'm still not sure what good it is but I've got it now and I wish I didn't.

I’ve heard of the Bottomless Box Glitch and the Dragon Head Glitch, how do I do them?
I, and most others on this board, will not help you find out how to cheat the game we love. If you want to do this, use google. You’ll get it…

Ah good, I was hoping for some sanctimony. GameFAQs never disappoints.

You can also sometimes get the Pendant from successful invasions as a member of the Forest Hunter covenant.

I apologize if this has been posted or is otherwise obvious but I've got a tip for dealing with the invisible paths in the Crystal Cave. Just bring a bow and lots of arrows then shoot and space the arrows apart. If it hits part of the invisible bridge the arrow will stick, but if it doesn't it will continue on it's merry way to arrow heaven.

This is basically for people like me who're paranoid messes as they try to make their way across these invisible nightmare bridges, especially the one that freaking turns!
