I always relied on parries, just once I wan't to go in with a great shield and have a slug fest, but that's hard. My recommendation is be very relaxed before you start, the last boss is one of the hardest bosses you'll ever fight. Also don't do what I did and enjoy the piano score so much you get distracted. And if he raises his hand you should evade, trust me.

Kill all the firekeepers to get their souls for ng
I actually never thought of that before... very wise indeed. --- GT:MorgueNFreeMen
Thanks. That was super easy. I must have been over-leveled (SL 90) because I beat it on my first try and only used two flasks. Could have used one but I was paranoid. --- War. War never changes.

I agree that killing every NPC is a good idea as the very last thing you do, but don't kill anyone affiliated with the Covenant you're in... Covenant rank carries on to NG+.
Also, did you find the hidden Great Hollow and Ash Lake areas? Find and kill Gwyndolin in Anor Londo? Make the return trip to the Undead Asylum? Enter the Painted World? All those are optional and very easy to miss. --- Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn! www.youtube.com/user/Terrafuror - Gimme a view, sweet cheeks ;)
