Naked
No off-hand (2h weapons is OK)
No upgraded weapons (BASE ONLY)
The big thing would be rings, since you can't really tell if someone is wearing a FaP ring or steel protection or whatever, so I would say all rings are OK.
Ideally, you'd have everyone make like a base warrior and have the host only drop what's useable with the warrior's base stats, but then no1 would have the RSS and therefore couldn't be summoned...
So I guess you'd want to use a 40vit/40end/27str/40dex quality build if you have one to get the most out of whatever weapon is dropped.
But yeah, naked, no offhand, no upgrades, base weapons and whatever rings you want.
Using upgraded weapons could get trolltastic because someone with 0 faith and 12 strength could get an occult demon great machete whereas someone else could get a chaos BSS. Which I guess is part of the randomness, but I think just base level weapons is random enough (broken sword hilt vs SKS LOL) |

That would definitely make things random, since people would have to choose between using a shield for blocking and fighting with their fist, or using a shield offensively and not blocking at all.
