We clearly don't have any SSFIV players here.
*raises hand* >_>
you play fighting games and dont know what rushdown is?
X_X
Son I am dissapoint
Actually, it's my favourite tactic. I was never any good at comboing so my main damage came from ridiculous mix-ups and cross-ups. Do you play Street Fighter?
I play it on occasion yeah
It's not my fighting game of choice
I went to EVO for Mortal Kombat
i also play a tad MvC3
We need to play in mvc3 sometime haha. I have one of the best akumas east of the mississippi. Nothing on wong's, obviously, but still a very sharp character.
As far as rush down goes, yeah, I know exactly what the tracer probably does when used correctly. One tends to think of Juri - it simply wasnt an acceptable answer to just block her and wait for a pronounced opening. When used correctly, she didn't -give- you one. You had to just wait for a dive kick that was just wrong and dragon punch her for trade so you could have some space and try to zone her out of her game space again.
I imagine the tracer shares much of the same functionality when not used like a noob. Pressure them with a couple of slashes, half circle, quarter stamina, full circle, step, stamina dump, etc. Even blocking they're facing bleed damage, and you can't roll forever. Aside from a well-timed or lucky parry, they're left with one real option - pick a time to trade and regain my spacing. The thing about that is that a failure in attempting to do so spells a magnificent gain of advantage for the tracer user.
