how do you kill it? i tried firebombing it, knives, arrows. nothing shows it taking any damage.

You can find a path that gets you behind it then just stab it in the back until it's dead.

The parasite on the wall is what I assume you are talking about, is most famously taken out with arrows. But there are other ways to do it.


"You will work your way down a series of ladders, killing ghouls as you go, until you reach crossroad. To your left you will see a Parasitic Wall Hugger, and to the right you will see a ladder and a path beside it leading to a tunnel. Beyond the wall hugger is a Pyromancy: Power Within. To kill it you can either attack it with pyromancy or climb the ladder mentioned above which will lead you into a tunnel behind the wall hugger to safely kill it with melee." (http://darksouls.wikidot.com/blighttown) this applies to the depths entrance to blightown which I presume you took.

It is taking damage, don't worry. It's just that the health bar is really high (positionally) and therefore you aren't seeing it. I thought the same thing until I unlocked after doing some damage and saw floating numbers way up in the air.

if you have a claymore, zweihander, or a weapon with a long-reaching thrust or general good range, you can angle your hits to hit the upper leg holding it to the wall approaching from the bonfire side. It should be unable to hit you. Should only take a few hits with a good/upgraded weapon
