Dark souls, all characters gone

I logged onto my xbox this morning, loaded up my game, and subsequently found my list of characters to be completely empty. I had 5 characters over level 100. Is there anyway to get anything back? Is this a common bug? Is there any way to resolve it? Please help, i'm scared

This might come as a very "tech supporty" question, but are you sure you're signed in?

Very sure I am signed in, and that I selected the correct storage device

some people get this issue if they try to mod a save and screw up. another reason for this is shutting off your xbox/dashboarding while the game is saving. which has a chance of corrupting the game save. one thing you could do is ask people to help recreate you characters and just run through the game.

when it is corrupted doesnt the game usually tell you that your save is corrupt?

Is it possible you accidentally saved your game to cloud, or are looking on cloud for your guys?
