So does he just use martial arts or does he actually have a weapon? Also, how old is Van?

I think Sync has no actual weapon, but is a bare-fisted fighter. Mh, I remember reading Van's age somewhere, I think he was listed as being 26.

Van was 11 when Hod was destroyed 16 years before the beginning of the game, so he is probably 27.
