@capac_amaru lol. I like the $ sign you put in to abbreviate Microsoft. It's kind of ironic because the reason Microsoft doesn't care is because Too Human didn't make any $. As for Nintendo supporting their out of house dev studios, come on man. You have any idea how cheap it is to make a game for the Wii as oppose to the 360 or PS3? You know how many crappy Wii ports and games there are for that console? If anything, Nintendo should be a lot more picky with who they let make games for them, so maybe we wouldn't have a Hells Kitchen or the Bachelorette, or some crappy port of a past gen game. Unless you consider those 8 out of 10 games as well :) --- I'm working on this screenplay for a movie, it's called Schindler's List 2: Let's get this party started.

Unless you consider those 8 out of 10 games as well :) You obviously don't understand the concept of a second part developer. And its exactly BECAUSE all Microsoft care about being money that I call them M$. Like the way they are going to milk Halo to death now that Bungie are gone. And like the way that we will probably never see Too Human 2 because it won't ship the million trillion copies M$ demands, and since they probably own partial rights to it it probably can't be released on other consoles.
Right... and you obviously have no idea how a business works. You would be a terrible business manager. Look, if you're not making money, you're not doing it right. It costs A LOT of money to make a big video game. And Microsoft will lend you the money, on the premise that your game sell enough copies to make the money back and then some. If your game does not sell a lot of copies, and on top of that get terrible review scores... then why the hell would Microsoft give you more money to make a sequel for that game? I mean Jesus man, have you even thought this thing through? --- I'm working on this screenplay for a movie, it's called Schindler's List 2: Let's get this party started.

If your game does not sell a lot of copies, and on top of that get terrible review scores... then why the hell would Microsoft give you more money to make a sequel for that game? I mean Jesus man, have you even thought this thing through? And part of the reason it didn't sell is because Microsoft didn't support them through the hell Too Human went through. They happily let SK take all the bad press, and seemingly gave them next to zero support in the Epic vs SK debacle, and next to zero technical support in regards to the engine troubles the game had. MS clearly gave Too Human up as a lost cause after the bad press from the original E3 showing, instead of supporting SK WHICH IS THEIR JOB AS PUBLISHER. The aftermath of Too Human has snowballed on to cripple the release of XMD, the hate bandwagon insuring that XMD would never be seen online through anything but TH hate tinted glasses. XMD may not be ground breaking, or award winning, but it is a good game, and like everything deserves to be judged on its own merit, but sadly the internet is no haven for journalistic integrity. And you, sir, clearly do not understand the videogame industry at all. You have the audacity to say that I would be terrible at business, then say 'Microsoft lends people money if they promise to pay them back'. If that's how you think this business works then I am in awe of your ignorance.
"And part of the reason it didn't sell is because Microsoft didn't support them through the hell Too Human went through." And I believe the other part was that they made a bad game lol. Look I actually like Too Human, I still own it. But I know it's a bad game. It's riddled with stupid design choices and the control scheme they choose was way too a head of it's time. Lair suffered from the same problem but wasn't as badly criticized as Too Human, seeing as Lair didn't take 50 years to make. "They happily let SK take all the bad press, and seemingly gave them next to zero support in the Epic vs SK debacle, and next to zero technical support in regards to the engine troubles the game had." You do realize that Too Human was supposed to come out like 10 years ago right lol? MS gave that dev company so much time and put so much effort into advertising the game and letting the devs take their damn sweet time with it. To say that MS didn't support them is ludacris. As for Epic, why would MS step in and take sides? Unless you haven't noticed Epic is kind of the developers of another MS published game, maybe you've heard of it, GEARS OF WAR. You really think it would be a good move on MS to take sides against Epic? "MS clearly gave Too Human up as a lost cause after the bad press from the original E3 showing, instead of supporting SK WHICH IS THEIR JOB AS PUBLISHER." They did support them, by releasing the game and not pulling the plug. And if you want to talk about jobs... it's SK's job to make a good game, you know, AS A GAME STUDIO. The entire XMD thing is... *sigh*, one topic at a time please. "And you, sir, clearly do not understand the videogame industry at all. You have the audacity to say that I would be terrible at business, then say 'Microsoft lends people money if they promise to pay them back'. If that's how you think this business works then I am in awe of your ignorance. Promise? No, premise, yes. That's called a loan. That's how loans work. Look it up. That's how publishing companies work. They give you loans/grants... you pay them back with sales. That's how business is. But please, do tell me otherwise if I'm wrong. I would love for you to correct me on this. Come back to me with at least some ounce of common sense before further digging yourself in this grave of yours. --- I'm working on this screenplay for a movie, it's called Schindler's List 2: Let's get this party started.
Oh good. The 10 year development time argument. Comedy gold. I told you you were as good as Monty Python.

I think you might want to retake history class lol. To go in a circle, you actually have to finish the circle, not just get half way and then quit and try to start another circle, only to quit at that one too. Basically, I applaud you for sticking up for a game that you obviously enjoy. Unfortunately you had close to zero merit on any of your points because most of your points were shallow, illogical or just complete fanboyism. And your counter arguments when faced with any sort of logical opposition, is either ignore the convo and talk about something else, or try and make a funny remark by referencing an old TV show and not back it up with any sort of factual claim to prove your "point." Now you're just looking for a way out in order to "save face" even though this is the internet and your face is merely an anonymous avatar linked to your fictional name. (It's funny the things we take pride in, eh?) Ok then. If this is where you depart, then I enjoyed conversing with you! take care my internet friend! xoxo --- I'm working on this screenplay for a movie, it's called Schindler's List 2: Let's get this party started.
