Oh...so "Team Fortress 2 characters" are not appealing to adults...but the anime garbage characters in Hard Corps Uprising are? Sure they are, kiddo.

Most of the current generation of 30-40 year olds, like myself, grew up around anime characters and don't mind them. We didn't even know they were called anime characters until it was pointed out to us that all our favorite cartoons were from Asia since, aside from Disney and Hanna Barbera, western studios couldn't be bothered to make any effort in animation. They still can't be bothered to do so even today.

Here are the characters in Hard Corps: Uprising
A young member of the oppressors who just turned sides. A woman who was a medic until the horrors of war got to be too much for her and she took up a gun to make it stop. A merchant fighting for the freedom of his homeland, and an assassin who honestly seems out of place but has enough of a backstory to fit in, barely.

The game has a fairly well developed world and storyline, which I won't get into here.

Here are the characters in "Shoot Many robots"

A generic redneck. 4 of him.

The storyline is "there are many robots. Shoot them."

Yes, I can see why the world of Hard Corps Uprising would be more appealing to adults. I'm not sure why Ubisoft couldn't. When you're making a retro-side scrolling shooter, you want to appeal to the people who grew up on those games primarily; adults. Kids played Hard Corps Uprising and pretty much declared it "too boring" because it's only 2D or "too hard".

The market for these games is not children. Yet Ubisoft made not even a cursory effort to appeal to adults. that's why this board is dead, and that's why this game can't even crack the top 20 on XBL for sales.

TL:DR version, I want a long elaborate story just to shoot lots of robots and have fun ina $10 arcade game, wah

LMFAO. I can safely say this is one time I've actually seen an opinion that's just flat out wrong.

Also, it's hilarious for someone to say this game has a "stupid name" only to promote a game called "Hard Corps Uprising."

Hard Corps Uprising is a pretty fun game. Lots of depth to it for a 2D side scroller. People are just mad because dude hatin on shoot many robots.

As much as I love Hard Corps... it is WAY too hard for your average player. You have to play uprising at least 100 times and build up your characters before you can even try to take on Arcade mode. Honestly that's negative points in my book.

i actually just bought this game for 400 points and i am loving it. i need some friends to play co op.
