Heres a faq for everyone, if you like it be sure to request sticky -The loading times are awful... Thats not a FAQ, thats a whinny statement, if you think long and hard about it you will notice that if you install the data the loading times shorten and its almost the same as playing the PS version, the only difference its that theres a black screen and a loading bar -But... Its the same, just install the data, believe in the FAQ and your wish will be granted... Positive thinking -How do i fuse Personas? You will need tarot cards for that, if you missed it, the very first time you enter a battle a poltergeist will attempt to contact you an explain how this works In essence you need to contact a demon, make him interest and then he will give you tarot cards according to its arcana (Pixies will give lovers tarot cards and poltergeist will give Devil tarot cards) In addition to this, if you manage to make the demon Joy then you can make a contract with them (If you are at least five levels below its level) and if you find them in your next encounter and manage to interest it then he will give you free tarot cards, this cards can be turned into whatever card you want or need with the help of the demon artist -About persona, which one is better??? The best personas arent defined by their strenghts and weaknesses, its all about the skills they have, the game is not as punishing as P3 or P4 when an enemy hit your weakness (Altho it still hurts) so dont worry about it to much What you will want to look for its skills, the best skills by far ar the ones that hit multiple enemies (Ma-skills), you can also add skill cards to make a persona work for you -Whats the compatibility This its the synch the persona and the persona user has, when you check the fusion list at the velvet room you will notice some smiley faces when you position your cursor over the arcana, some characters will have a sad smiley and others will have happy smileys, always try to equip persona with the happy smiley for better results (Decrease in sp usage and high possibility for mutation) -Whats a fusion??? Fusion spells can be used when you mix the right skills, for example if you use A water skill, an earth skill and a fire skill (In that order) the result spell will be Tower inferno, which does High Fire damage to the target Heres a good list of how to combo skills, thank gamecoder for this guide http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps/257543-persona-2-innocent-sin/faqs/54776 -I keep hearing about this mutation, whats that??? Mutation its the result of abusing the fusion skills, this will allow your persona to grow a lot, theres 4 possible outcomes for this and they are completely aleatory -Stats grow: As stated, some points will be added to your persona status, this its the most common result of a mutation, also if your persona maxes one stat, you can keep mutating it to max the others -Two levels up: The same as stated, this will give your persona 2 levels thus learning skills faster, in my opinion this its a waste of mutation since if you are using too much your persona youll end with maxed levels in no time -Learned "X" skill: Your persona has a hidden skill which doesnt show on the skill list when you summon it, this mutation will allow it to learn this skill -"X" can be transformed: The most uncommon of them all, this will allow Igor to change your persona for either a persona of Minor arcana or a new persona of the major arcana with more abilities, you should aim to mutate your personas into the minor arcana ones You should always remember that equipping persona with High compatibility and have the LU stat high increments the possibilities for persona mutations ****DONT POST YET**** --- There was a sign here... This can be gained thru some decisions in game, the thing you need to remember its that you need to let your character solve their issues on their own At Mu continent let Eikichi face sugimoto (Wait and see what happens) At Aoba park, let Lisa talk with the crowd (Wait and see what happens) At Sky museum let Maya save Ixquic (Let maya go and look for a rope) When the time comes, Phily will give you your prime personas, if you did all right then Vulcanus prime will be awarded last for letting them solve their issues -What about Yuki??? Ill try to be the less spoilerrific i can, when the time comes you will be asked to leave her be or be a cruel S.O.B and say "But you will not make X wish come true", choose this and do not leave her behind, she will be awarded with Durga --- There was a sign here... -What about the ultimate persona??? When you enter Alaya shrine you will be roaming around a big cave, be sure to check every corner here , you will see theres 5 secret rooms which contain a treasure chest, in each treasure chest there will be a key item called "X" mask (Eagle, swan, owl and the other one which i forgot) the fifth one will be empty, so if you find this room and have 3 or less masks, return and re do the search because this its the last warning note the game gives you that lets you know you dont have all the necessary items for ultimate persona -Whats so great about them??? Nothing really, they are not that good if you ask me, they waste way too much SP and their skills arent outstanding either, i prefer using a pixie with an Inferno card, that way you get Maragidyne for 3 sp -Whats the theater??? A new feature added to the psp port, it lets you play some nice side stories (some of which are fun and break the 4th wall) if you decide to do this missions you will keep whatever you find here and your levels, exp and stats, good for grinding When you do this youll gain points and more movies will be unlocked Last post... Dammit it was long Bump for sticky and feel free to ask your questions here for help --- There was a sign here... Its gone now
I forgot -Fool cards How to get them??? There no sure way of getting them, some say that you need to talk with a fool type enemy (better done at ogres at Kazu high) and the conversation should flow like this, interest them, anger them, interest them, anger them, interest them and then heres the tricky part, they should return with a question and you should answer them with something fool, then you will get a fool card Other people say it doesnt matter if you talk with an ogre at all and that the order of reactions doesnt matter, it should go very long before they finally pop the question Either way you have 1/32 of probabilities for the demon to ask you the fool question so my advice its to forget this and go play the game because you need 10 fool cards to get all the fool persona, once you get it the first time it drops to 1/16 Thanks Penguin_knight for the info on fool cards --- There was a sign here... For your starting Persona, say like Volcanus for example, can you ever get it back if you decide you want to trade it in to Igor for it's item? --- My interpretation of reality is different than yours. Don't destroy my reality, even if you consider it a fantasy.
Either way you have 1/64 of probabilities for the demon to ask you the fool question so my advice its to forget this and go play the game because you need 10 fool cards to get all the fool persona 1/32, not 1/64. Once you have got the first fool card, the chance increases to 1/16.
Alltra posted... For your starting Persona, say like Volcanus for example, can you ever get it back if you decide you want to trade it in to Igor for it's item? You cant get them back but theres no use for them once you hit high levels you have access to better persona to tell you the truth, as soon as you hit rank 8 return them for the items --- There was a sign here... I'd rather keep them if they're unique, to be quite honest. --- My interpretation of reality is different than yours. Don't destroy my reality, even if you consider it a fantasy.
