Thought I'd share this with everybody before the original topic got too old and deleted.

Note: The guides are based off the Japanese translation so the directions aren't always clear. For instance on Day 3 at Noon (Daytime) it lists an Other event (Clash In Broad Daylight) that says "visit the town dizzy" I have no idea what that means. Some things have different names too like the Demonscales are listed as Grayscales.

Be aware that the status of the Hospital, Language School, and Casino being opened or closed are often times why a path splits.

Hopefully this will help people trying to figure out how to trigger specific events they don't have yet and that it can help produce a more English accurate guide/FAQ here.

If anyone wants to post a better translation or more accurate description of a single event please feel free to do so here. For instance at the beginning of the game there is an Other event that can only achieved by apologizing to the first group of attackers. Note that Dojima can not be the Blacksmith in order for this event to play out properly.

Me too.

I went in every area, every building, etc. I also drew my sword and fought a bunch of Demonscales during the first Chief Administrator cutscene thinking that might have something to do with it, but no luck there either.

The best way to get Clash in Broad Daylight:

Go to the Prajna's base (The back of the shirne) first, then proceed to watch the cutscene. When they ask if you will join, Decline and they will leave.

Proceed to Town for a new cutscene where you get to choose a side.

i should clarify:

This is after you see the Magistrate arrive. You can choose to attack him if you want, but it has no effect on getting Clash in Broad Daylight.

It's AFTER this event, still during the 'Midday' period, where it counts. I assume you could do the Magistrate as well and decline to help, however I have only ever done it with the Prajnas.

Essentially, you will watch the scene, decline to help, then head straight to Town. By declining to help, you prevent the advance of events. By going to town, you are officially advancing them AND seeing the event.

Ah thanks for the info :3 Now all I need is the scene under ''Ability to Lead'' in the hidden path.

After Akagi gets shot, don't take him to the hospital / have the hospital closed and I think you unlock that event (It becomes an event where Kogure tries to kill you, instead.)
