I always thought James Bond would be amazing. You could have lots of crazy levels and villians and gadgets to let you explore free play as you unlock them.

James Bond would really be awesome (Moonraker!!!) Ghostbusters and Back to the Future as well.
With the upcoming Tintin movie by Spielberg, I could also imagine Lego Games based on the classic comic adventures.

In addition to the movies/media mentioned above, here is my wishlist:
LEGO Pulp Fiction
LEGO Naked Gun
LEGO Fifth Element
LEGO The Simpsons
LEGO Men in Black
LEGO Blues Brothers

They'll only make a game based on actual LEGO toys that TLG makes. (TLG = The LEGO Group) So that throws a ton of stuff outta the window. LOTR is actually pretty likely though. Theres the new Hobbit film coming out, and TLG has been quiet about a new medievel theme. As well AFOLs (Adult fans of LEGO) have generally been pining for a LOTR lines for ages.

But I guess we will just have to see eh?

When I read the topic that is the first thing that came to mind. If done correctly could be real good. They have 11 movies to work with and 5 tv series. Would be great to be able to use the Enterprise, Defiant, and the Borg Cube. Could have everything from Kirk and Spock to Sisko, Data, Archer, and Seven of Nine. Terminator could be good as well. As stated by most others Lord Of The Rings would be great. They have done mostly movies up to now but there are a few tv cartoon series that would be cool to me like Ninja Turtles, Thundercats, and G.I. Joe. Maybe console specific games based off games? Like Lego Mario for Wii. Since they already have the Halo Reach Lego kits how about Lego Halo for 360?
