I don't know about that, but Motorola is coming out with a dual core phone with 1GB of RAM (expandable to 2) in a few months, one on Verizon and one on AT&T.

Yes but the bionic as much as i want it will forced 4g pricing on you, even if you dont have 4G coverage in your area, because it is a 4G phone.

The Droid 3, X2, and Inc 2 while only a rumor, is said to be working on 3G, so you will probably get a bionic quality phone without paying the rediculous 4G prices.
