Can't play the game at all, losing my mind.

I've went to the Eidos forums, tried getting help from Nixxes the representative there, no result.

Tried getting help from Steam community, no good results.

I've tried every fix and suggestion possible:

- Verify game cache
- Lower settings
- Update video drivers
- Update audio drivers
- Update Windows
- Run in compatibility mode.
- Run as admin.
- Turn off exclusive fullscreen.
- Reinstall the game.
- Download supposed registry fixes.

Nothing done at all, absolutely nothing difference since I got home last night to play. Since the day I've tried to play all I've gotten is "Tomb Raider has stopped working" on launch and it closes afterwards. I can't even get into the game itself.

I have a HD 7950, i5-3450, 8GB Ram, Windows 8 64 Bit.. I have no clue what is wrong here. I have been able to play every single game without this type of problem, and it looks like some other people have the same problem with similar specs and Windows 7 instead of 8.

All I want to do is just play the game, and I can't even do that.

try disabling cloud save for the game, I had an issue in dishonored that when I installed it on my new PC it did this. Disabling the cloud save and starting it up fixed the issue.

Thanks, I tried it and unfortunately that did nothing.

Did you also try disabling it via the steam settings? It should be under the cloud tab in the settings menu.

What do you have enabled under the Options splash screen? I would recommend trying to start the game on minimum detail and gradually work your way up, I've heard the game has been finicky with tesselation and other tweaks.

Hopefully it'll launch by disabling some graphic settings

Yes, it did not work either time.

And I also set every setting to lowest and turned off what was possible and nothing.

I know you mentioned drivers but did you also install the latest version of Directx?

It's a stab in the dark but you might as well try everything.

Also, do you know how to access your system log? That might have some clues as to what's making it crash.
