Speaking with Silence glitch (possible spoilers)

So I'm doing the quest "Speaking With Silence" at the part with the door like the one the golden claw opened, and Mercer refuses to open it. I've tried leaving and coming, saving and reloading, pushing Mercer to the door, and just about everything else I can think of. Anybody got any ideas as to how fix this? Or do I just have to wait til the patch?

Help would be greatly appreciated. Would just go do other stuff, but he won't stop following me and keeps screwing me up.

BUMP

I can't even get in the front door to the Snow Veil Catacombs because it says it needs a key. Now I'm stuck with this prick following me around and his incessant complaining about how noisy *I* am.

I have the same issue, the door says it requires a key. What gives?

I had this issue as well but saving/reloading worked. Keep trying that until he gets it lol.

I pushed him to the door, saved. Restarted the console and loaded and it worked.
