I finally got my follower, Calder geared up. Enchanted legendary daedric armor and konahrik, but he will not equip 2 daedric swords. Can he not do this? Or is there a way to make him use both?

Only certain followers will dual wield. Check out UESP.net for a list.

Followers will only dual wield if they have the dual wield perks.
Normally though, they're better off with a shield or staff.

My follower can kill 2 summoned dremora lords, but he blocks A LOT. I checked UESP before posting, but I couldn't find anything out.

Who is he?
Companions have different perks. That's why some can use magic, like J'zargo, some can roll like Lydia oddly enough, and some can dual wield like Cicero.

Calder the housecarl for windhelm. I got him at 50 and gave him overpowered gear so he can be a tank. (I'm a Mage) I just wish he blocked less so he could deal out more damage against elder dragons.
