It is Havok Engines fault it gained it's bad rep with alot of bethesda's games mostly because of the freezing but this new problem with the unreadable disc is no better. I wish they would use another engine like source, unreal or even chrome.

No. Havok is the physics system.
The game's engine is a slightly improved Gamebryo engine, which was the broken engine they used in Fallout 3/NV. --- "If history is to change, let it change! If the world is to be destroyed, so be it! If my fate is to be destroyed...I must simply laugh!!."- Magus

how would a physics engine make the disc unreadable?

Ah, so I am not the only one who has the occasional (regular) unreadable disc error. Heh. And here I was worried my Box was on its last legs. --- Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

I had 0 freezes up until I I stalled the game - then I got about 4 within 2 days

Have not had any freezes, just the occasional "unreadable disc" when starting the system up.
Also, the game is installed. I always install my games, less wear&tear on my Box. --- Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

Because PC games -never- crash...
0 freezes, had this game since day 1, installed since day 1... patched every patch the day it came out (wise decision or not is debatable).
