That plus Dragon Scale armor is the strongest light armor in the game and they needed a perk for 100 for both so Dragon armor was made for that.

Both are imbued with the strength of the super natural.
Daedra aren't anymore super natural than Dragons are, and given that Daedric armor is made out of metal while Dragonplate is made out of the dragon's very body its a safe assumption that if Dragons have any magical power at all then it flowed through the materials used to make their armor for longer than the Daedra can imagine.

And the fact that dragonscale armor is the best light armor only enhances TC's question of why dragonplate armor isn't the best heavy armor.

So while you both gave an answer, neither of you gave a real answer to his question.

Daedra and Aedra (dragons) have been around just as long as the other. Daedric comes from Daedra hearts, which are part of their body too.

No, it isn't "proof" because the fossils might have been put there by the Devil, or a magic potato. -Skankhair.

The difference is "being around just as long" doesn't explain it.

When you say the dragons have been around just as long, you mean that the dragons you're fighting now are exact same dragons that nords fought over a thousand years ago.
When you say the daedra have been around just as long, you mean their people have existed for that thousand years, and not that the exact same daedra had been living and fighting a thousand years ago.

So when we're comparing magic flowing through the bones of dragons, we're talking about thousand years of the bones being exposed to magic. When we're talking about magic flowing through the heart of the daedra, we're talking a hundred years. Surely you can see the difference.
