People whine about it, because it sucks. Why should you have to read a wiki article to understand it? It's better in just about every other game (like... I don't know, Fallout!). If you liked leveling the way it was... You're screwed, because I am personally guaranteeing that it will change completely for this game.

The levelling system in Oblivion was horrible in almost every way. End of story.

Speaking as someone who had two characters with literally max stats (i.e. where you could have 130 Speed rather than "max" 100, I had that, etc.), I can assure you that the system sucks. Just because you can game the system doesn't mean it's a good system.

I don't think so. I'd say they are simply going to go back a work out the bugs making it more akin to Morrowind. The ES series isn't going to start handing out XP all of a sudden.

I like that skills level, but the way oblvion did it was annoying. i'd rather just have experience for killing stuff which levels you up, and then skills that level up as you use them.
