Besides, I'm not saying it would definitely hurt the singleplayer, just that it's a possibility that some attention would be diverted, which, as I see 0 return, I'm not willing to risk. Obviously I understand if others are, that's absolutely fine if you do want it.

Since I though Oblivion was garbage and expect Skyrim to be the same, from my perspective co-op can't ruin anything.

reasons for coop---

its fun
its optional
its fun
exploring a big world with a friend is fun
its fun
single player people don't have to play in coop
its fun

reasons for no coop---

eats into development time(which is a load of bull considering its already taken 4 or 5 years to make skyrim)
uh...........
single player is the way to play???( *snort* )
i'll feel lonely when i realize that everyone else is playing online in skyrim.

Co-op? In Elder Scrolls?

You know how much toned down it would be? They would have to take away small details (I.E. worthless clutter like plates, cups, etc.), confine players to certain areas at a time and tone down the graphics to have a decent frame rate.

Basically if they attempted to add it, you'd probably ***** and complain how it looks terrible, limits you to small areas and lacks detail from the single player...

Like someone mentioned, just like Two Worlds, except MAYBE without the horrendous lag that made co-op unplayable.

If game developers don't challenge themselves we will take for ever to move ahead. Look at saints row 2 i would have never thought that possible before it was released. That game was boss in co-op with the cribs activities and story line. They just got to step up and make the game like their careers depend on it instead of their paychecks.

In the realm of co-op difficult, should it not be the players' choice? Give a "vote for difficult" option in game. Obviously normal or lower in terms of Oblivion's difficult would be a push over with 4 players, but I found hard and very hard to be excruciating since you had to strategize in real time and pretty much one body hit would either hit for a third of your health, considering you were playing fairly, had not yet reached the end-game and were not exploiting glitches, or would open you up for more punishment. If you were to play co-op constantly on very hard, you could have a challenging experience even with every standard group archetype being filled, as I personally like it being so in RPGs.

If a group of friends want to just blow the enemies away on easy, what does it matter to you? Unless they add some sort of unnecessary leaderboard, you probably won't even know.

In a side note, you graphics whores need to settle down. It's not graphics that make the game and I doubt the graphics will be effected too greatly in the first place if co-op was to be added.
