Its still really sad that Mods do that. They really should incorporate a way to prove legitimate I.D and what not that way people who do joke and didnt know get the ban hammer.
I am still curious what if someone was under the age of 13 and now is older. Could there account be lost?
There is - the feedback ticket I posted at the end of my first message. If you mean proving that before being banned, the amount of paperwork involved in proving that every single person is over 13 when they register, or have a parent's approval, would be overwhelming. If you mean after being suspended and before being banned, it's pretty much the same as the first answer. The process of going through and proving someone's age isn't worth the trouble. When you registered your account you agreed to follow the rules outlined in the TOU, and being old enough is one of them. If you screw up, it's not our responsibility to prove your innocence. Again, you can always get your account unbanned by going through that feedback ticket.
And no, GameFAQs is only concerned with how old you are now. As long as your message makes it very clear that you are 13 at the time of your post, then we don't care how old you were when you signed up. I believe there are even moderators who created their accounts underage, if that says anything.

Whats really interesting is if someone were to say they were a "Unborn fetus" they can get banned for that. That just mind boggles me because it happened back on the Pokemon boards.
If that's true it's an extremely rare case. If someone claims to be so young that they couldn't reasonably be able to use a computer we generally hit them with a Warning to discourage them from doing so again. Fetuses, infants, etc... generally anything under five and the mods will take that into consideration, though that isn't an absolute policy and is up to the mod's discretion. Again, the reason the punishment is so harsh is because this is a federal law and GameFAQs, and more importantly its parent company CBSi, doesn't want any sort of legal issues to deal with that can otherwise be easily avoided.
