I mean violence is in human nature, its not like hey everyone lets stop fighting because Johnathan over there got shot.... nope world doesn't work that way. People get so up in arms over violence in general or various forms of violence in games, and it makes me wonder how they can get so worked up on violence in games, when in past wars and any present incursions, kids, adults, and whatever are dieing being abused etc.

People think we are above out base animal urges.

They forget that we work on four basic urges Feed, Mate, Kill and Repeat....Everything else is an illusion.

You're right, violence in games isnt even close to the reality of violence in real life today.

If you are against violence then you are against humanity because it happens in our world every second of every day.

This topic board shall now be flooded by philosophy statements...

You forgot the 5th one, seek shelter...

But really though, 99% of the people in the world even if they say they can be above base urges still do one of those urges...

Just because it happens in real life doesn't mean we should replicate it in video games.

For the record, I don't care if you can kill kids or adults or rape or whatever in games, but saying that it's ok because it happens in real life isn't a good argument.

HOW DARE YOU! Violence is a bane to humanity! How could you widely accept THIS! Are you f****** saying that evil side of humanity should be ******** embraced? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU! Man screw this game for a minute, I have a damn bone to pick with you. *all because we are mammals* well guess what as a intelligent species we should be above violence and people have the power to change their ways, you all just don't try.

I screeched at it for several minutes, and then THE GAME finally went crazy and burned itself...

Who says its ok because it happens in real life? I am saying you should be so up in arms about what goes on in games when real life examples are happening. So say there is a drug cartel in say brazil that as a childe slave trade going on. Would you complain and try to do something about it or would you complain if that happened in a game instead?

Yes and no, based on various principles it would make a sound if no one was there to hear it, yet it wouldn't because no (sentient lifeform) would be there to hear it... But if trees could talk to us, then I say the other trees would hear it though.
