ME3 has been delayed to early 2012. I'm pretty sure it was Skyrim's only competition. Maybe Portal or Battlefield have a chance, but I think Skyrim will be the best. It also means I don't have to buy 3 games all at the same time.

Mass effect could never compete but Im more then sure that game of the year will go to battlefield 3. No game can really compete with the real battlefield.

Link for the delay? Although I want both, kinda glad Mass Effect 3 has stepped down to allow Skyrim more time to dominate!

I'm willing to bet that Portal 2 will get the major GOTY award, but Skyrim will still win many GOTY's.

If we're talking Spike, my money is on Uncharted 3. Personally though, Dark Souls is my most anticipated.

Skyrim looks ok too.
