Return of the Dwemer?

#1Mateo_HazePosted 7/22/2011 1:06:37 PM

The Dwemer also known as the "Dwarves" in the elder scrolls series, were a very technologically advanced race of Mer. Do not get them confused with short, drunk, axe wielding men from LotR. They were actually no shorter than any other Mer race, their nickname only came from their encounter with the Ehlnofey Giants.

The Dwemer mysteriously ended up disappearing during the Battle of Red Mountain druing the War of the First Council. Although the exact reasons are not known it is assumed that it happened when the TonalArchitect Lord Kagrenac attempted to use tools to harness the power of the Heart of Lorkhan to heighten his race to Anumidum. It is thought he was trying to creat a super weapon to use in the war, or that he was attempting to make the Dwemer Race immortal.

Here is a link if you want to lear more about the race. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Dwemer

It is already confirmed there will be Dwemer ruins in Skyrim (see second videohttp://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/01/13/road-to-skyrim-the-todd-howard-interview.aspx).

Now who is hoping other than me to see this great race make a return in TES series whether it be in Skyrim DLC or future Elder Scrolls games. I for one would love to see them as a playable race in the Skyrim DLC, here is to hoping! What is everyone elses thoughts and ideas?

I wouldn't mind seeing another Yagrum, maybe. Maybe one that hasn't been disfigured by the corpus disease. But that's a maybe, as I feel it would be a dishonor to Yagrum.

I know people assuming their drunk midgets always annoys me.

Yes please!

I've been interested in their disappearance ever since I found Yagrum Bagarn in Corprusarium while doing a main quest. I'm hoping the entire race will be back in Skyrim.

I'll say my theory again.

When the Dwemer tried to harness the power of Kagrenac's Tools, they did not disappear. They simply teleported forward in time. Skipped forward thousands of years.

So my idea is that, assuming you fight Alduin at the end of Skyrim (which I don't really get, but I guess it's all "part of the story's mystery"), just as he is about to get the upper hand, all of the Dwemer reappear in the air at once in their battle outfits, falling on the dragon god and crushing him.

Just speculation.

COMPLETELY RIGHT SPECULATION.

When the game was first announced and they said that the Dwemer technologies and ruins, similar to those in morrowind, would return I thought how cool it would be if they emerged as a playable race. I still hold hope that with the return of ancient races of dragons the dwarves will return with them.

^ LMFAO! They will come attacking with their airships bombing the **** out of him, and rule the world with their new found immortality as well. THE END.

You know Dwemer can't fight crap right? They're all fat bastards turned lazy by their dependence on technology.
