but werewolf means "human" "wolf"

because its a human turning into a wolf creature

so if a kahjit becomes a "human" "wolf" it becomes a misnomer because kahjits are not human, therfore they would not become werewolfs.

wolfcat

sounds like a band.

Werewolves are also known as a lycanthrope (from the Greek, lukos, "wolf", and anthropos, man). Not "human" and "wolf". Technically any humanoid can turn into a werewolf, and they will still be considered a werewolf.

Didn't they just turn into regular werewolves in Bloodmoon?

Werewolves are also known as a lycanthrope (from the Greek λυκάνθρωπος: λύκος, lukos, "wolf", and άνθρωπος anthrōpos, man). Not "human" and "wolf". Technically any humanoid can turn into a werewolf, and they will still be considered a werewolf.

Lycanthropy tends to ignore race in general by turning you into a canine-hominid anyway. It did this in Daggerfall and it did this in Morrowind.
