Arvel the Swift

For those who aren't sure who i'm talking about, thats the Dark Elf in the vids who has the Golden Claw and legs it when you cut him down from the frost spider's web. How are you going to deal with the treacherous blighter?

Will you cut him down while in the web or try talking to him, release him only to let a Draugr get him, etc. Personally, i'm gonna hear him out and then while he's in the web, set it all on fire and let him burn.

Is there an option to let the spider eat him? If not, a swift sword to the back.

Follow him and see how long he survives. Guy like that does not stand much of a chance.

I was hoping that sword strikes don't all cut him down because I'd like to eviscerate him before he has a chance to run. On another note don't you think Beth kinda gave this guy a raw deal by showing him since Ive only ever seen him murdered for his treachery seems likely the Community will also want him dead. Oh well. What if the radiant story allows you to meet him before his theft and you kill him or catch him in the act or steal the artifact before him.

I'm a code poker so I won't just be killing the guy, because that's a definite way to find out what happens to him. More likely I will follow the guy to find out where he ends up going, probably assisting him in leaving the dungeon. I did this a bunch in Oblivion, and characters ended having some pretty interesting scripting after quests were finished.

I wonder if with the Radiant AI it's possible for him to never be there.

I think you've misunderstood what the Radiant AI is there for mate, say you go through the game making certain choices, going to certain dungeons and befriending certain people, you then are supposed to get "A Quest" then someone who happens to like you, might give you that quest, and in a dungeon you have yet to visit, etc. It wont warp every single piece of info about what you're doing.
