I need to know this before I start playing, I don't want to put points into one if it turns out the other is better late-game. Anyone know or have any good guesses?

It would depend on the weapons you're using I guess. I did hear someone say that Dual Wielding with 1handed max is really OP'd though...

probably dual wield. its pure offense while 2H provides the ability to block as well. damage isnt everything though. take a look at the perks and see what interests you. dual wielding is pure offense. you have no way to stop incoming damage --- Slaughter is the best medicine. http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/7944/argylegargoyle.jpg - artwork by masterpug53

2 Handers can block.
For pure DPS, dual-wielding with the right perks and equipment most likely does the most damage. --- Loyal Crabdom Ambassador~ Crabdom - fighting to make GameFAQs a better place
Dual Wielding = Attack 2 handed = Blend between attack and defense Shield and Sword = Defensive --- In their tongue, he is known as Dovakiin...Dragonborn!

If both weapons are enchanted with per hit magic, dual weapons should do more damage than a two-handed weapon. --- Australian customs: Do you have a criminal record? Me: I didn't think you needed one anymore.

The greatsword(2H) executions are awesome looking too. I love the one where you just impale your enemy on your sword, lifting them off the ground. --- Loyal Crabdom Ambassador~ Crabdom - fighting to make GameFAQs a better place
