Fortify Restoration Alchemy glitch and enchantment question.

Let's say I drive up the effects of a fortify enchantment potion through alchemy, then use it to enchant armor with an obscenely high powered fortify enchantment effect. Is this possible?
I'd like to have a set of armor specially made for enchanting like that for use later.

Sure...

Or you could do what I do... use the glitch until you have a sufficiently high alchemy... then make a bunch of fortify enchantment potions...

Then you don't have to waste any gear for the fortification, and can use the potions whenever you want to enchant some really powerful gear.

That was exactly my plan by cutting out the middle man of having to make more potions. With +whatever% fortify enchantment gear, wouldn't that be like having a permanent +whatever% potion effect on, or am I missing something?

No you aren't... what you are suggesting should work fine.

There is no Fortify Enchantment enchanment, only potion.

That's right... Now I remember why I never took that extra step.

What is the fortify rest. glitch? Is it just drinking fort. rest. potions as a fortify alchemy proxy?

I just wanted to know before I started hoarding more ingredients than I needed to. Thanks!

Guess I'll just make a second set of fortify alchemy armor on, high powered of course, so I only have to worry about making other fortify potions with it instead of doing the whole restoration loop again. That should work at least, right?

get some enchanted gear to fortify alchemy... when you take a fortify restoration potion, it makes your enchantments stronger for as long as the potion effects last.

So, loop:

- put on your fortify alchemy gear
- create a fortify restoration potion at the alchemy table
- take off your fortify alchemy gear
- drink your fortify restoration potion
- notice your fortifty alchemy gear is now stronger

After you've reached a large enough fortify alchemy, you can start creating other potions that are ridiculously strong... like fortify enchantments, which then allow you to create gear with ridiculously high enchantments.

There's also an interesting side-effect where if you put on some enchanted gear before your fortify restoration potion wears out, the fortification is actually permanent as long as you don't unequip that gear. You can use this on the talos pendant that gives you 20% reduction on shout recharge time... and end up with no cooldown required for shouts and you can basically spam any shouts.
