Can you destroy your houses in Hearthfire if I want to start over?

I'm not seeing an option anywhere ... perhaps saving game, deleting DLC, loading game, saving game, redownloading DLC?

Won't have xbox online for a few hours so can't check right now.

1. Quit the game
2. Do new game
3. Overwrite your previous save

OR

Reload a save before you started building

I did main storyline/sidequest stuff after I started building, so looking for way to keep that.

You can do what you said with removing the DLC, But I'd recommend just moving Hearthfire to a USB divice that is formated for use with the Xbox 360.

And be sure to look everything in the house that you do not want to lose.

then go to the Jarl's Steward and re-buy the plot of land. you wont have to re-do the quest in order to buy it.

Redownloading is no big deal, took only about 30 seconds.

And the other is kind of a given.

So let 's say i built my house and i decide i want to change the wings i can just:

1.Remove any items from the house that i want to keep.
2.Save and close game down.
3.Remove DLC, re-launch game and save again, close game down.
4.Put DLC back, re-launch game then start from the buying a plot of land stage?

Sounds good, as im thinking i might make one of them the "family retreat" and change it to bedroom + storage + kitchen, instead of what it is now which is bedroom+armory+trophy room.

EDIT: I guess you can re-adopt then too.

Noticed that the kids bedroom in Breezehome went back to the unimproved emptyness.
