Honestly it's bethesda , every other game developer has no problem releasing in true hd ( that's the problem btw, sorry to say but xbox isn't true pure hd) why does bethesda?
Honestly, you have no idea what your talking about son.
The problem is skyrim is heavily ram intensive, and the ps3 hardware does not run heavily ram intensive games well.
Without remembering the exact details, I believe it was something to do with the ps3 having two specialised inflexible 256 ram blocks, instead of a flexible 512 ram block.
I might be wrong on the specifics (the hardware of consoles is not my strong point), but the problem is in that area, which is why few other developers have such a fiasco, as few other games are this demanding on ram.
It being hd is nothing to do with anything.
And to the poster who said beth where giving the tools to make it work and choose not to...
The only way to guarantee it worked would have been to not include most of the content so that the ps3 could handle the added system requirements...
Not exactly a viable choice. --- The road goes ever on and on....
I think Sony are idiots. They chose a dual core processor (which requires an optimizer for PC gaming) and a 256 MB GPU. (As apposed to Xbox 360's 512.) Sony needs to stick to televisions. --- you can fight like a krogan run like a leopard but you'll never be better than commander shepard
What is the point of buying a ps3? I know that sounds incredibely sarcastic, but I mean it as a serious question. I asked my bro why he got one, and the only reason was so that he could play Fifa 13 with some friends of his who have that game on ps3. But why would they have bought it?
