Yeah, I felt the same when I won for the storm cloaks. By the way, you might want to start using the spoiler tags. I personally don't mind, but I'm sure someone will come along freaking out over it.

yeah i shouldve marked the one part, but cleaned it up some bit

Im still trying to figure out which way Bethesda plans on handling this canonically...

they're probably be asses about it.
"uh, there was a civil war and after it was over and done a third faction took control and kicked the stormcloaks and empire out of skyrim. yeah! massive power change off screen! shut up!"

You mean the Thalmor? :D

And then he ran into my knife... he ran into my knife ten times.

i believe this war is kinda on the wayside to much bigger issues. For example you kill the emperor if you do the dark brotherhood quest line this kinds sends the fragments of the empire into shambles. so after this happens, the Stormcloaks are the least of the Empire's worrys.

Really? It does? Are you from the future, telling us how things turn out in a future DLC/TESVI?

on a side note, i actually felt guilty when i took skyrim for the imperials. since thalmor patrols are only in empire controlled holds, when you start seeing them in areas you normally dont and realized you allowed the spread of oppression and torture, it really got to me.

i remember after playing TONS, my first empire siding character took riften, then i was walking down the road and saw a thalmor patrol escorting a prisoner who was obviously going to be tortured and executed, it really bothered me.

its true though, thalmor patrols only spawn in imperial controlled holds. so they'll be everywhere.

then the imperial soldiers who took up the guard in riften started talking about how it'd be the perfect spot for launching an invasion into morrowind, and i was disgusted, why the hell would they want to invade morrowind? wtf
what has the empire become?

I just kill them all and call it a day.

Well, no matter who you side with....SPOILER : As part of the Dark Brotherhood questline, you get to do in the Emperor so it's not all bad.

I went and sided with the Empire myself but undertook the above and felt satisfied with my work.

Read that as "do the Emperor"

Mmm. I'd hit me some Titus.

Bah, who cares? If the Thalmor try coming to my door expecting an Imperial kissass, I'll go to Summerset and kill their entire government off.

Sprints-on-Treetops (my Argonian ranger): "Sounds like fun, when do we leave?"

We leave now, Egg-Brother! Let us go forth and spill Thalmor blood!
