Skyrim and fallout 4

Holding onto perks.

So many times in Fallout 3 and NV that I levelled up, got a perk, and was short of the skill requirements by a handful and so I had to take something I didn't necessarily want. I really like Skyrim's level up system, and would be happy if that stayed whole-cloth (just change the perks and skills to be more suitable obviously).

Writing was crap. Jensen would have had been a better character if he was a cardboard box. The story was too linear, and too cliche. Gameplay was clunky (from what I remember.) The only fun I had in that game, was playing a game of basketball with the local hoodrats.

Pffffffffffffffffffffffffffft. The story and writing parts wouldn't factor into not wanting the engine used, and as to clunky gameplay, the combat and stealth is much more suited to a fallout world than gamebryo's (mainly) VATS-based bullet sponging system.

Yeeeeees. Stealth system would be much better, combat is more realistic and would actually make strong enemies like guys in power armour a fight you'd need to think about, looks cool...


I don't understand what would make any of this not possible on their current engine.

Gamebryo allows the PC to have almost no environmental interaction whatsoever, and combat tends to focus on just wacking the opponent anywhere until their HP bars empties. They haven't changed any of this in probably more than a decade. I doubt they're going to get to HR levels in time for F4.
